The Lot Attendant and crew members will be there to assist and direct you. Reservations may be changed only twice any time prior to seven days before departure. During the week of travel only one additional change may be made. Reservations changed within the seven-day time period must be used and cannot be changed again or canceled and issued a refund.
Plan ahead
- Occasionally, the City of Everett Parks Department provides educational walks and tours to learn about the local ecosystem.
- After reserving travel on the Cape May Ferry, please check all email folders (including the spam and junk folders for guests using Verizon, Yahoo, or AOL email addresses) for your confirmation email.
- Pull your car into the reservation lot where there will be another lot Attendant expecting your arrival.
- Please check the 2024 Traditional schedule online to plan your desired travel times prior to booking.

No foreign currency will be accepted as payment for any goods or services. While aboard the ferry, thrill to the spectacular sights of ice-blue glaciers, tranquil fjords, lush forests and unbelievable concentrations of seabirds and marine wildlife. Make sure you have extra photo storage capacity before your trip, you just might need it. All of our services are available to book online and by phone. If your vehicle is called for Standby, a driver must be present. If your vehicle is called and no driver is present, your car will be skipped over to the next vehicle in line.
Never traveled by ferry?
Thank you to all our passengers who took the time to share their experience on the Ferry with the Tripadvisor community. Tickets for the following month are available online on the first of the preceding month (July tickets are released on June 1, August tickets are released on July 1, etc.). There is no overnight or long-term parking at AMHS terminal facilities. A driver must remain with the vehicle in the Standby Lot. If your vehicle is approved for Standby and a driver is not present at that time, your vehicle will be skipped over to the next vehicle in line.

Jetty Island is a jewel to all who visit its sandy beaches, a rarity in the Pacific Northwest. Visitors often speak of Jetty Island’s untouched natural beauty. With no electricity or plumbing, the only structure on the island is the seasonal floating restroom off its shores. Jetty Island is a nature preserve with juvenile salmon, waterfowl and bald eagles being just a few examples of the wildlife living on the Jetty. Continuous work is being done to improve and expand the island’s wildlife habitat. The extreme sport of kiteboarding is growing in popularity and many athletes travel from outside the area to kiteboard at Jetty Island.
Changes cannot be made once the reservation date and time have passed. The drivers name cannot be changed after the initial booking. Tickets for infants (0-3 years), permanently resident seniors (aged 60+ showing a valid ID ferry reservation card) and tickets for passengers showing a valid EU Disability card MUST be obtained for free at the ticket booths. Travellers with children (4-12 years) must purchase a Euro 1.15 ticket per child, from the ticket booths. Gozo Channel will not refund wrongly purchased, online tickets and customers will have to purchase the correct ticket/s from the booths to proceed to embarkation.
If you arrive late and miss your ferry sailing, you can still travel standby on a space-available basis. Let the tollbooth know that you had a reservation to avoid a no-show fee. You must check-in at the toll booth/ferry line at least 30 minutes ahead of your sailing time or you will lose your reservation and will travel standby. Bring your printed reservation sheet or your confirmation email on your phone with the barcode for easy scanning. You can pay your ticket price at the toll booth, or purchase your ticket online in advance. Cumberland Island is only accessible by boat and is located just seven miles east of St. Marys.
If you arrive earlier than your departure time or have missed your designated departure time, available spots on other ferries will be on a first-come, first-served basis. Please proceed to the standby line and our staff will do our best to get you on board if space is available. All vehicle reservations must be paid in advance by credit card. We will make every effort to move your booking to an alternate sailing, later in the day, based on space availability. Passengers MUST purchase departure and return trip during checkout. No cars, kayaks, or pets (including therapy and emotional support animals) are allowed on the ferry.
With our quick and simple ferry finder tool, finding a cheap last minute ferry ticket has never been easier. Public ferries to the Boston Harbor Islands operate from May – October. Visit the park calendar to learn about special cruises and opportunities to visit the islands in the off season.
Passengers are advised to check in and collect boarding passes at BRF Check-in Counter at least 90 minutes before departure time. BRF reserves the right to cancel booking if boarding pass is not collected 40 minutes before departure. Vehicles must be checked-in and available for boarding at least 40 minutes prior to the scheduled departure time.
